About The Re.Center
The Re:Center was created from a radical belief: healing happens through connection.
We’re not a clinic or a program – we’re a living, breathing community of people learning how to build resilience together.
Our mission is to break down barriers to mental wellness by offering accessible, stigma-free support that helps people thrive. Using evidence-informed frameworks like WRAP (Wellness Recovery Action Plan) and CRM (Community Resiliency Model), we focus on practical tools for self-awareness, stress regulation, and hope-building.
We believe that everyone already has strengths worth building on. Here, you’ll find a space that honors your story, celebrates your growth, and helps you reconnect to what matters most.

About Jon Dance
Hi, I’m Jon Dance, founder of The Re.Center.
Everything I do comes from my own experience in long-term recovery. I hold a Master of Public Health (MPH) with a focus on community health and equity, am a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) registered in Virginia, and won the honor of CRM Ambassador of the Year in 2024.
I’ve worked across rural schools, local coalitions, and community health networks, but my greatest credential is simple: I’ve been there.
My approach isn’t clinical therapy; it’s peer-based, real, and grounded in empathy. I believe in walking with people, not above them, and in creating spaces where every story matters.
