About the event
This workshop introduces K–12 educators, staff, and school leaders to the Community Resiliency Model, a trauma informed, skills based approach that supports nervous system regulation, emotional literacy, and sustainable well being in school settings.
Participants learn how stress, adversity, and trauma impact the brain and body and how this shows up in classrooms as behavior, burnout, disengagement, and emotional overload. The focus is practical and immediately usable. These are skills educators can use with themselves first and then adapt for students across grade levels.
The workshop centers on six core CRM skills that help individuals notice what is happening in their bodies, increase access to their own regulation, and return more easily to their flow zone. Emphasis is placed on co regulation, educator wellness, and creating school environments where both adults and students can learn and connect more effectively.
